ABOUT
Carolyn Curtis is a inclusion advocate living in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Raised in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, she moved to Iqaluit in 2009. Over the last couple years, she has been involved with the Nunavummi Disabilities Makinnasuaqtiit Society and the creation of Tunnganaqtuq Niuqqavvik - the Inclusion Cafe - a community project to provide Nunavummiut facing barriers to employment due to the label of disability with sustainable, flexible and meaningful employment at fair market wage.
Inclusive Iqaluit aims to discuss and promote community-building efforts happening locally within the framework of inclusion, to encourage partnerships between various sectors and organizations, and to celebrate Iqalummiut and the beauty of life in the North.
